The new rig from Bay Horse Innovations of New York transports the portable x-ray and ultrasound units that provide them with on-the-farm diagnostic capabilities.
Dr. Laura Anderson is one of three veterinarians at the practice. “I grew up on a small hobby farm in Platteville, WI”, says Dr. Anderson. “Like many other equine enthusiasts, my love of horses started at a very young age. My grandpa surprised me with a very naughty pony when I was around six years old, much to my parents’ dismay! I’ve known many good horses since then, but it was the eventual passing of her first foal a few years later that sealed the deal on my decision to become a veterinarian one day. During the course of my journey to become a veterinarian, I was lucky enough to spend a significant amount of time in both Texas and Colorado where I met many good friends and mentors in the equine industry. I graduated from Colorado State University with special interests in sports medicine and rehabilitation and podiatry, although I enjoy all aspects of being an equine veterinarian.
