Solstice Equine Veterinary Services

Since originally opening the doors of Solstice Equine Veterinary Services in the Loudon county area of Virginia, Dr. Mia Lee's practice has flourished! It’s grown so much that her original truck and drop-in vet box was simply outgrown. Say’s Dr. Lee, “Several vets in my area had chosen a larger rig and I realized that it was time for me to upgrade. I did a lot of research and talked to a lot of vets and farriers and the overwhelming response was to go with Bay Horse Innovations”.

One reason for the popularity of Bay Horse Innovations NY is that they realize that building a truly "custom" rig is about listening to the client and being responsive and creative. Dr. Lee's new rig is built on a 2019 GMC one-ton truck—a BIG truck and she's, well—vertically challenged! One small example of this is that for Dr. Lee, Gene included handle extensions on the doors and simply lowered some of the shelving.

Say's Dr. Lee, “I am a small person and did have some concerns about my ability to easily use a set up like this. Would I be able to reach everything easily and use the higher storage?" It has not been a problem at all. Gene understood what I needed and created the rig and everything in it to fit ME. Within a week I had learned the right technique for getting the doors down and closed without too much effort. Like most vets, I have a shoulder that has been injured and even so, I am capable of closing the doors.

I am enjoying having all my equipment well organized and easy to access now. Clients are very impressed with the set-up and how it looks and functions. My son is excited to have the back seat of the truck to himself now and not have to share with all my equipment!”

Solstice is dedicated to providing quality individualized care to customers and their horses. Solstice is available to see scheduled appointments Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. Occasional Saturday and evening appointments will be arranged. Emergencies services are provided 24 hours a day as well.
